Guest terms

These are the booking terms for Drop Everything (and Read), February 19–21, 2027, at Seven Acre Dairy in Paoli, Wisconsin. Paying a deposit means you agree to them, so please give them a quick read before you book.

Booking your spot

• A $600 deposit holds your spot. Your spot is confirmed once the deposit is paid.
• Everyone books their own spot, even if you're sharing a room with a friend.
• Choose your room type when you book:
  • Your own room: one bed, just you.
  • Sharing with a friend: a room with two beds, shared with someone you choose. You each book separately.
  • Matched roommate: a room with two beds, shared with another guest we pair you with.
  • Couples: if you'd like to share one bed with a partner, email us before booking so we can set aside the right room.
• Fill out the guest form right after you book. It tells us about dietary needs, how you'd like to get the class read, and anything else that helps us plan.

Prices and payment

Prices are per person and include everything listed under "What's included." Early-bird pricing applies to bookings made through November 15, 2026.

• Your balance (your price minus the $600 deposit) is due January 15, 2027. We'll email you an invoice.
• You can pay it in full or in up to three payments, with the last one due January 15. Just tell us which you'd like on the guest form.
• If you'd like the class read mailed to you, we'll add $5 to your balance.

Cancellations and refunds

We've reserved the whole inn and paid for it up front, so every spot matters. Here's how changes work.

If you need to cancel

• Let us know by email as soon as you can.
• If we can fill your spot (from the waitlist or another booking), we'll refund everything you've paid except a $100 rebooking fee.
• If we can't fill your spot, your payments aren't refundable. This is where travel insurance helps.
• You're welcome to send a friend in your place instead. Just tell us their name, and they'll fill out their own guest form.

If your balance isn't paid by January 15

Your spot may go to someone on the waitlist. We'll always reach out to you personally first. If your spot is given away, we'll refund what you've paid minus the $100 rebooking fee.

If we need to cancel or change the dates

• Winter weather: if snow or ice makes travel unsafe, we'll move the retreat to new dates rather than cancel. Your booking carries over.
• Any other reason: if we cancel the retreat, you get a full refund of everything you've paid.

Waitlist

• When a room type sells out, you can join the waitlist for it.
• Your price locks in when you join. Join by November 15 and you'll get early-bird pricing whenever a spot opens up.
• Spots go in the order people joined, within each room type.
• When a spot opens, we'll email you. You'll have 48 hours to pay the deposit before it goes to the next person.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend it, since payments aren't refundable unless we can fill your spot. We offer coverage through our travel insurance partner, Faye.

• Say yes on the guest form, and we'll email you a personal quote link within a day.
• To be covered for pre-existing conditions, buy within 14 days of paying your deposit.
• Insurance is between you and Faye. We're happy to help, but we can't make claims decisions.

What's included

During the weekend

• Everything is optional. Join what you like, and read through the rest.
• Sauna and activities: you take part at your own risk. Our sauna partner, Tuli, asks everyone who uses the sauna to sign their waiver before the retreat: tulisaunaandplunge.com/waiver. No signed waiver, no sauna. If you're pregnant or have a heart condition or any other health concern, check with your doctor before using the sauna.
• Food: tell us about allergies and dietary needs on the guest form. Seven Acre's kitchen will plan around them, but it isn't an allergen-free kitchen.
• Wine and drinks: guests must be 21 or older to be served alcohol. Please drink responsibly.
• Photos: we may take photos during the weekend to share afterward. If you'd rather not appear in them, say so on the guest form and we'll respect that.
• Quiet: this is a reading weekend, so please be mindful of noise, especially in shared spaces and late at night.
• The inn: you're responsible for any damage you cause to your room or the property. Seven Acre's own house rules apply.
